We had a delightful (even while soggy!) day driving to the city of Flåm 2 hours away to catch our fjord cruise as well as catch the Flåm-Myrdal train. Both were quite pretty.
Things noticed on our drive: speed limit maxes out at 80km/hr. TONS of tunnels and the longest one was 11km. The tunnels were really clean, and really nice. (Basically everything here in Norway is very clean, and very nice. The cars, the public bathrooms, the ferry, the people, the way people dress, the streets, everything) Lots of speeding cameras and you get a warning on your car for each one coming up.
Lots of fjord photos ahead, and these were edited down from the maaany I had before! I believe the names of these fjords are Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord….
They chose to share a room and bed even though there’s an extra room…. :)
The cruise/ferry was so nice. The electric boat was very quiet and smooth (and fast) and there were hot dogs and Prosecco on board. That sealed the deal!
