Å, and the other cities in the tip

We took another rainy day to visit the fishing village of Å (pronounced “oh”), and the village of Sakrisøy. When we visited the fisherman’s museum in Å we were in for a treat in the form of a personal tour guide who walked us around the little village. He was so pleasant and informative! He helped us to pronounce the Å and the Ø and told us all sorts of info.

First Norway shower for these rascals….

I imagine this says “smile” :)

Anitas Sjomat restaurant in Sakrisøy that was recommended twice. The fiskburgers and king crab were really good and the setting was so cute. Basically all ambience here is so cute.

Inside the bakery at Å, which has been making cinnamon rolls at this location since 1877!

Original Fisherman’s cottage from 1895

Out or order, but delicious dinner in Sørvågen at Maren Anna. Our waiter was from Japan but spoke Japanese, English and Norwegian!

Sleeping quarters in the 1895 fisherman’s cottage. Our guide said they limited each cottage to at 12 people and that the norm in the day was to sleep sitting up! Sounds miserable.
