Madrid Day 5 of tbd

We’re hanging in there with some highs and lows. Lows are we have no idea when we’re going home (Olin tested positive this morning) and the kids actually enjoy school for the most part and miss being home. Pros are we have a variety of good airbnbs, plenty of food and sites to see, and we don’t have to quarantine.

They have these finger and foot gummies that are so strange

Mercado de San Miguel is so cute, all glass enclosed, but so busy it’s almost impossible to order

This chicken broth from the store is so good!

Using chicken broth and a Covid test to prop up our iPad while watching Jojo Rabbit

Cannot believe these prices on croissants!

Naturally. Just when one test lightens up another darkens

We booked it the half mile to Carlin office supply before their 8:00pm closing to print stuff for Christian’s homework. It was a hilarious printing experience. They didn’t have wifi printer and Christian’s school email is locked so he can’t sent email to the shop. So I screenshotted his laptop screen, dark and all, and emailed those screenshots to the printshop. It worked
Very well, against all odds! We got some chow mein to bring home for dinner on the walk home.

Doing homework on dark printouts. Our new Airbnb (#3) is very nice and light

The big outing of today was the hop on hop off Madrid bus tour. It was so-so.
