Covid Chronicles - have lost track

Walking to A+ Hong Kong Kitchen for a delicious dinner

This is what it looks like in there. hahaha.

These days, restaurant ambience isn't quite what it used to be

They told me they've done this "a thousand times, mom" when I told them to be careful!

Dropping off a sprouter for mom and going to the park!

It got sunny on Sunday afternoon

CHOP (Capitol Hill Occupied Protest Zone) in Seattle. Our ramen restaurant happened to be just next to the zone so we went through. It isn't nearly as big as it was a few weeks ago (on the news) and it was pretty quiet.

I like to do my make-up at this mirror because I get to look at this view the whole time

When kids make the bed. Not a bad job, I think.
They were very busy this morning 1) trapping a fly in with the Venus Fly Trap....it has not been trapped at last report

2) "Collecting farts to try to set on fire outside". When I came down for the morning they had already collected and tried 4 times but it was too windy outside per their update

Nothing made of fabric is escaping my embroidery needle at home. I thought I was very clever by embroidering the Korean symbol for Lee on Dae's mask (bottom mask)

These Aloha bags that Ev swears by arrived today. I love them and they're perfect for mask carrying.

Other activities: Olin wore this head wrap for 20 minutes to practice being blind. He ate with it on (messily)

We (Dae) fixed two tables today. Well, I take some credit since I flipped over this table and set it all up for him to swoop in and drill. He then drilled 3 holes in the family room coffee/game table before realizing we did not have the correct length screws and Ace closed at 5pm.

End of June, 2020

Updates:

  1. We're still in Phase 1 here in Benton, Franklin and Yakima counties. That means no restaurants are open for sit-down, no hair salons, nail salons, no gyms, no retail, no organized sports....The rest of the state is in various Phase 2 + but we still have high Covid numbers
  2. As of tomorrow, entire state of Washington is required to wear face masks in public
  3. Other than that, it's business as usual over here....

We all still love Spike

Fielding work calls while holding Spike

The three of us squeezed on to the couch this morning to read. It was quite pleasant.

New hobby - embroidery. Of course the kids already know how to do it because of school, so they were kind of teaching me plus I watched some YouTube videos

Christian's heart. He had to go through some VERY thick canvas on this strap so I think it was difficult

My first heart

Olin's fine work

My work. These are the napkins the kids will bring to school in the fall, if they return to school in the fall!
Olin's first ortho appointment! Dr. Almond thinks he's fine to wait for at least 6 months.

Olin still has the same flexibility as Auntie Ev used to - butterfly all the way down and then he can lean all the way over. Even Christian was like "wow you're flexible!"

Boise

First time in Boise! We stayed Saturday through Monday and it was a really nice trip. Boise feels like a sleepy town with surprisingly good restaurants and essentials like Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, H&M, Clean Juice, lululemon, Athleta.

Father's Day Dinner at Tupelo Honey southern restaurant. The Banana pudding dessert was SO good
Downtown Boise

Capital Building!

"dizzy floors" per the kids

Residence Inn - Spike's playpen

Roaring Springs Water Park. This was fun.

Told me he made a hedgehog design on his water glass

Hotel pool

State of shoe affairs - before and after
Nike factory store came through - Olin size 1

Christian size 6

I picked the hottest day thus far to climb Badger with the kids. We climbed at 9am and it was only around 85 at that point but that still felt really hot.

Christian's homemade "best sandwich ever". Potato salad, avocado, cheese, egg, turkey.

Little hands are so much better

Father's Day Gift! Hasn't been used one time yet. hahahah.

Springtime in 509

Well child visit. His BP was a little low (80/64) so they did a longer blood pressure check and told him to make sure he was WELL hydrated. ...
