Chores & Rewards

I haven't lost my zeal for chore charting. This summer I have upgraded to an actual spreadsheet with color coding. Basically they do the green for that day. Point values are listed, and at 50 points they get their pick of prizes (Rollarena, biking to Dairy Queen...). At 200 points we are thinking of taking them to Silverwood water park in Idaho.

They started off yesterday with great energy. They've even done bonus points. I was going to stop them and try to rein them in but I decided I'm just going to ride the current chore wave to its inevitable lackluster finish!

They have done dishes two days in a row. They are actually pretty good at it.
The promised pull-up bar. The kids really like this thing. Considering it's a bar, I can't believe how long they can play on it.
Olin went from 0 pull-ups to 1 pull-up in one night. He has stayed steady at one pull-up ever since. :) And Christmas PJ's are still going strong, year round, and getting a little tight.
Science class with Mr. Adams again. They really like his classes!
Micro needling as recommended by Ev. My skin looked crazy during the first 5 days and then it finally settled down and now I feel my skin looks good.
Olin's final Field Day (last day of school) at Sagebrush. We won't ever be at this school again which is kind of sad.
Piñata.
Teacher Terri. She has taught him SO much about all sorts of things Dae and I know nothing about.
Teacher's assistant Heidi.
4th year in a row facepainting and I must say we have upped our game. 4 years ago we (I) had embarrassingly poor quality face painting for the kids. After that first year, I contacted my face painting source (Ev) who showed me how to do it right and now there's no stopping us!
I didn't have the right color for the dog (it's too brown) but check out the detail on that dawg! I myself was impressed!
Olin doing painting on me.
Close enough....
