December has been fun. Kids have been inundated with advent and treats, so I plan to put the brakes on that come January :)

This is how Dae found us last week when kids and I were just laying on the couch chatting. We've been going to sleep a lot earlier this winter. Kids around 8pm, and me between 8-10pm usually. It is good! |

Dae carried both kids upstairs but did not extend that offer to me unfortunately. I would have gladly taken a free ride upstairs. :) |

Hooray! These beauties are still vastly outnumbered in eastern Washington. |

Glo-Stick bath night. |

I began volunteering monthly at these STEM career programs where I do a little talk on dentistry to 8 rotating groups of 7th graders in underserved (I think?) schools. It is really, really fun. I've done one so far. The kids are really funny and pretty engaged, for 7th graders! My funniest question so far was a boy who asked what the difference between crowns and grills are...I was like "I don't do grills". ha! |

He's getting pretty decent at violin! Here he is practicing along with the Suzuki violin CD on the stereo. I told my sister that I'm amazed he makes progress, given that he practices around 3 to 4 minutes per day. |
We took the kids to the Nutcracker with some school friends last week. When the male professional dancer came on stage Leelee leans over to me and whispers loudly "mom....his pants are so
thin".
Ha! "I don't do grills". BTW did you force your kids into music lessons or did you ask if they wanted to do it? I'm still contemplating piano for Tate.
