Frog Juice (Kauai Part One)

We are in Kauai! First time here and so far I really like it. It's much slower, much smaller feeling, much more country-like than Oahu, or at least Waikiki.

We've purchased POG at every location so far (passion orange guava juice), and today when Leelee asked what it is, he pronounced it "Frog". So he came up to me today and told me that "Baba needs more Frog". hehe.

Our condo is awesome. It's two-bedroom and on the first floor and right next to the pool and the barbecue. Today Dae barbied up some filets from Costco.

Oh, one more note. Olin officially hates the water. Did I think it was possible for a child to dislike water more than Christian? No. Has it been proven that it exists? Yes, in the form of Olin. We have been taking the kids to the pool right outside our unit every day (2 days) since my patient at home who's a swim instructor just said to expose them to water all the time and dip their heads in, so I have made it my personal mission to get these guys water-safe. So far...no success. Olin will not get in past his waist in the water and Christian is warming up but it's a sloooow process. Each day we make more progress. Today he actually let me put him on this float and he kicked a little bit and he's asking to go back in the pool every day so at least he doesn't hate it, but this is really a painfully slow process. I also dunked his head twice, which wasn't as terrible as I expected. Patience, I keep telling myself!

I cannot get enough of this guy's cheesiness. Speaking of, he will smile the second I pull out my iPhone to take a photo. He loves it!

Look at the pointed toes. Those feet were going on overdrive since he was really excited to be on the plane from Honolulu to Lihue, Kauai.

Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Oahu. I loved it when I was 16 and I still loved it this time around!

Cool in front of Margaritaville in Honolulu

On our lanai in Kauai double-fisting a pineapple and a coconut.

An airplane tattoo from the Polynesian Cultural Center. You can only imagine how much he loved it!

Samoan show at the PCC - very entertaining guy. He cracked open coconuts, had his 'colleague' scale a coconut tree, and made fire.

A candidate for our Christmas card family photo? I think not!

Sweaty, tired mess. But still getting some entertainment at the Tonga show.

Happy flyer on the inter-island flight from Oahu to Kauai

Coconut water straight from the source at the Farmer's Market in Kukuiula

Lei from the Farmer's Market. It smells Delicious!!!

Olin was gnawing on this coconut shell with meat for an hour.

Steaks from Costco. Dae cooked them perfectly medium (medium rare). Yum!

On our deck.

Leelee took this photo. I love it!!!
I am still a little irritated that I can't load the waterproof camera photos. There are a few cute ones. I will have to get a CD made when I get home and upload them that way I suppose.
