I signed up for Econ 101 at WSU Tri-Cities - audit, no grade or credit - and today was my first day of class so I biked over at 9:10am. I loved it! I seriously understand why all the late in life learners that I remember from UW would sit in the front row and ask tons of questions. I didn't sit in the front row but I was interested in everything that was being taught and had tons of questions (in my mind). It's too bad I'm not getting a grade, I feel I could ace this course. Ha!
We did a couple new things this trip: Block Party in Chinatown (was a bust, lots of 20 and 30 year olds and a deejay, not many things for kids), Pier 62 concert (was fun! We played soccer on their mini turf field and got free Stanley pint cups) and took the water taxi to West Seattle. The ferry was easy and beautiful and pretty cheap - $5.75 each, one way. When we landed at the pier there were tons of crabbers and fisherman on the West Seattle pier which was cool. We then ended up walking 3 miles to Alki Beach when I thought it was supposed to be one. hahah oops. On the plus side, we rented scooters and a Veo bike on the way back which was a blast.
The kids' current neighborhood friends are either out of town or sick so they've been occupying themselves with Minecraft, origami (Christian), reading (Olin), catching spiders outside and putting them together to fight (both), and chores.

LA 2022 was filled with finding superchargers to charge our rental Tesla (maaany hours devoted to this), visits to Erewhon, pool tournaments, Santa Monica pier, one visit to Raging Waters Waterpark in San Dimas, seeing dad and Joanne one time at Riverside and one time in LA where they joined for an Auntie Ev 47th bday dinner at Crossroads followed by Sprinkles Cupcakes and overnight at our Airbnb. We scrambled to find a new place after our yacht (!) canceled. We were definitely disappointed but our new place in Hollywood Hills was really nice and we got a discount. Mal was our tour guide and mapped out Alfred coffee (delicious - I got the chagaccino), Clare V next door where Ev and I got adorable bracelets (bday present from her!), Glossier and others. Our trips always end too soon that’s for sure.
