COVID-19

Novel Coronavirus panic has hit the US pretty hard. Washington state happens to have one of the highest rates of those with the virus, so Governor Inslee has shut down all Washington state schools from now until April 24 (around 6 weeks total). Imagine!

We are on Day 2 and already wondering what we're going to do.

Yesterday we went to Target to get Olin some new undies, and then Safeway. We strolled by toilet paper aisles (empty, as is the same at every other store in the area). Canned good shelves are still stocked but probably only around 1/3 to 1/2 full. We did not go in to frozen food area but have heard those are in low supply.

Very happy with my jewelry organization. Finally I can see everything laid out!

Chaperoned the Upper Elementary's field trip to Second Harvest Food Bank. They sorted bread  - weeded out the ones with mold or ripped packaging - and then stacked the good bread in to boxes and then on to pallets. The kids absolutely loved wheeling those little red carts, which went up and down with a foot pump.

This was all the bread from the packages with ripped packaging or mold (I didn't see any mold since these were breads that were frozen). These breads go to horses.
