Cousins & Grandma

We had a really fun time these past 2 days hanging out and feeding chickens and picking veggies at friends' houses with cousins and grandma.

Spudnut Shop of course. We learned it was their 70th anniversary last year.

Heather's house to brush and apply fly spray to horses and pick veggies and fruit. We got raspberries, one radish, some beets, kale, chard, green onion, carrots, and sugar peas.

Went to Pelican Bay. He was very cold, and then all 3 of us (me, Ev, Olin) fell asleep.

Organizing items to Poshmark....hahahaha

Bread #8 - Kouign Amann

Looked nothing like the cookbook photo but it tasted very good. Like a croissant. We smothered with jam :)

I think Christian remembers how to spell it now. I think it's so confusing to Olin that the spelling hasn't registered at all. He still wants to spell it Queen

Kids + Puops

Puops took excellent care of the kids. They got to go to iFly and chocolate tasting as well as an outdoor car show, a hike, an Asian buffet, Ballard locks, and the list goes on! Puops said she took a daily nap. I was like oh, don't worry, they're used to their adult supervisor taking periodic naps.  They've adapted well. hahahaha!

Olin's got serious back flexibility.

Can't forget about Dae! He was a social butterfly this weekend. Met up with various friends...

Erik (Amy's husband), Bill (Heather's husband), Alex (Kelly's husband), Matt (Alaina's husband). We were all impressed that they got together without us (the wives). I was impressed that Dae organized it!

New Kadlec surgeon who's starting in the fall (Dale) and Dae's old resident friend Amir. (I can't get over how non-surgeon the new guy looks. The hat and hoody are throwing me off. Ha!)

PNDC 2019

I met up with pretty much every single dental friend I have this past weekend at the Pacific Northwest Dental Conference: Minah and Selynn from Portland, and Jessica Trena and Terra from UW and then Megan from UW! Was lots of fun.

Minah, Selynn and I met up for lunch at DTF. Then we did a composites (dental fillings) class.

Terra, Jessica, Trena and I met up for two classes and dinner at Cactus.

Megan and Tate (7 years old) met up with us at Seattle condo after the conference and spent the night! We went to Ben Paris for dinner across the street.

The kids and I shared the bed and Megan and Tate shared the guest bed. Wowzers I had no idea how mobile these kids are during the night and how much they both grind their teeth! The horror....

Chinese Checkers at Storyville coffee occupied the kids well.

Megan and Tate's first crumpet experience

Check out my Asian chin tilt (low). And both of us immediately commented that our legs looked skinny so this was a keeper of a photo. hahahah!

Holy ponics! The greens are growing and we hope they are filtering our water well! It was so exciting to come home to this great development.

A Special Meal

They picked out the meal from their recipe book, we went to the store to get what they needed (broccoli, canned tomato, ground turkey) and they made it start to finish, with help from me and Babz. Pesto meatballs, spaghetti and broccoli with cheese. It was delicious!!!
Summer Tennis
Olin's first tennis lesson in quite some time! He did well. Here he is (in black t shirt) looking funny because he's jumping rope.
