In Montesssori there isn't really any homework or testing, at least not until 3rd grade. Leelee's 3rd grade class started preparing for a "test" by taking a practice test yesterday. I didn't even know. He came home and says "guess what? we did a practice test today!" I asked how it went. He said it was "sooooo fun. It was like twice as easy as our workbooks". hahaha. Maybe, just maybe, my years of semi-enforcing those darn workbooks will pay off? Anyway, fun to see these Montessori kids get excited about tests - I will ride that feeling as long as I can.

I didn't understand how this pattern emerged from a mango until I asked Leelee if he had bitten in to it with his teeth, and his diastemas. The answer was yes. |

The kids like to do spelling bingo but this time it was Olin vs. Babz and Olin most definitely won. I gave Babz the 8th grade plus word lists and he didn't fare so well. Maybe 50%. Olin did well on the first grader words. |

Leelee pitched! I was proud of him for getting out there for an inning. They didn't score any runs off of him so that was a plus. |

Leelee had a spelling bee last week so I tested him on some words. I told him to spell newlyweds and he says "N-E-W-L-Y-M-E-D-S...newlymeds". We were laughing so hard when I corrected him.
