Girls in San Francisco

Ev was sent on a work trip to a conference in San Francisco and so, like we did in San Diego in 2011 for my work conference, my mom and I went along for the ride. So much fun!

The highlights:

1) Uniqlo shopping*
2) Dim Sum in Chinatown followed by mochis and sesame balls
3) State Bird Provisions restaurant
4) walking in the sunshine and the hills
5) facial masks (Charlotte Tilbury) and Ev's extensive facial oils regimen
6) Tacorea
7) mom's Senior BART rates, and SFO airport confusion

*highlights of Uniqlo shopping included fun and extremely comfortable wide-legged jeans, and undershirts. Dae refers to my jeans as JNCO jeans. I of course had to google JNCO jeans immediately and found this. Not quite how I picture myself looking in my jeans, but even if I did, they're so comfortable I almost don't care. ha!

Sesame balls (red bean) were pretty good but the standout items were the mochis from the store called Good Mong Kok Bakery

Dim Sum at Dol Ho, basically having our meal with this nice Cantonese speaking lady. This place was packed with locals (old Chinese people) and was pretty much without any kind of order. You have to get up and get a lot of the food yourself, or get up to get your teapot refilled. But it was good!

Funniest bill. The 4 marks on top were $3 items. The 3 marks on top were $4 items. So our total was $24 plus tax.

We had to tell mom to lay off the Photoshopping apps. It's so obvious!

Ordering at State Bird Provisions restaurant. I tried to get a reservation online every single day for about 2 weeks. My persistence paid off. I finally logged on one day and saw a 5:30pm slot opening on the night that we were there and I pounced on it, immediately. It was really good and really unique. Dim Sum style service for most of the food. Really interesting tastes and preparations and small portions which was perfect.

In front of the trolley. Lighting on my face ever so slightly off...(or on!)

Not the best photo but my big idea was to capture the steepness of the hill. Didn't quite manage. Here are my JNCO jeans which I now may wear every day just because Dae made fun of me.
