Trips to Seattle and 7-11 (Leavenworth)

We got back from our Christmas celebration in Seattle, and tacked on a night in "7-11" as Olin mistakenly pronounced Leavenworth.

The gang's all here! Same clan, different year. A great weekend at my mom's.

Playing hide and seek

Haiku buffet. There are probably 20 dessert options, including a chocolate fountain, and the only thing my kids wanted was red Jell-O. Crazy cats.

Puops is always quite generous.

The antler positioning on his head was hilarious

Back at home, our pre-decorations Christmas tree. Nice and sparse.

He was so in to this book order. Not even for books really, more for random toys like "spy kits" and "See in the dark goggles" and such. What's a lady gotta do to get this guy to enjoy reading?

Decorated Christmas tree. Olin was pumped up about watering the tree for all of two days and then just as quickly lost interest. So I've been picking up his slack.

Showcasing his bumped upper lip from puops' door. We got a window seat at Bellevue Din Tai

Gorgeous Snoqualmie Pass on the drive to Leavenworth

Leavenworth!!!

Munchen Haus bratwurst, eating outside over a fire. It didn't snow while we were there, unfortunately. Kids were really disappointed. And Olin had major stomachaches and diarrhea that night. So it wasn't an amazing trip to Leavenworth, but I thought the tree lighting was really cool, and the kids' favorite parts were the tree lighting, the hot tub at the hotel, and the Berenstain DVD we got to watch at the hotel (Bavarian Inn)

K'Nex from puops. How he loves to put stuff together!

Halmoni's Korean soaps dominate our DVR. I love to turn on the TV at night, fire up the DVR and start laughing with Dae at all the soap opera titles. Yesterday, a Spanish show was on our DVR and we realized Haraboji has started recording Spanish shows because he's learning Spanish. Pretty soon Dae and my shows are going to be completely boxed out!

Spudnut shop Advent. I happened to do carpool on our spudnut day so we got to cart along two extra happy campers. On December 1 I started off Advent with a bang - Scavenger Hunt and they loved it. December 2 took a turn - it basically was a card with the saying of Do Unto Others...So Olin goes "but mom, this is a bad advent". I told him that it's not always treats and that Advent is about being nice and having sayings and stuff like that too. He goes "Ohhhhh! So Advent is like this - good one, and then bad one, and then good one, and then bad one"
