Potty-Training Olin

Potty training Olin is not going great. I started the 'boot camp' style potty training yesterday morning when Dae was out of town (and we had absolutely nothing on our social calendar).  Well, it was a roaring success with Leelee...not so much with this younger guy.

I sequestered both kids in the master bathroom with coloring books, about 5 different types of salty snacks, M&M's for successes, and Capri Sun juices (a never in our house!). Each boy got a new pack of Planes underwear. Olin was swimming in his size 4 undies. So I told him to keep his undies dry and asked him a million times if his undies were dry. He had a small accident right off the bat, but managed to make it over to the potty for most of the 2 hours that we were in the bathroom.

Feeling confident, I let the boys loose and we headed over to the couch to watch "Frozen" as a treat.*
Well, fast forward 1 hour later, 1 poop-in-underpants later, 2 leaks-in-underwear later, and 1 pee-on-couch later, and I was pretty much ready to throw in the towel and let him carry on in Pull-Ups for the next couple of years. (Where is Kindercare when I need them to pottytrain my other child? haha!)

In other news, I've been grateful that the kids have been pretty good for me over the past week when Dae has been out of town twice and I took them to Seattle on my own once. The weather has been absolutely beautiful and sunny and warm here so we have been able to ride bikes like crazy and hit up some parks. Good times.

* Leelee was not at all scared by Frozen! Even the scary snowman! He later told me that he didn't like the scary snowman, but while he was watching he was totally into the movie. I was happy about that. Olin was crying and very scared whenever the snowman made an appearance. Cute movie, though.

Watching "Frozen"

At Lowe's lighting area. Olin is carrying his new pink guitar from Winco and Leelee is carrying his new planes from Winco.  Today, I took the kids to Winco, the Dollar store, church, Target, Lowe's, the mall, the park, and Red Robin. They had each reached 10 stars on their nightly chart for staying in their room all night so they got to pick out prizes.
