First one: Sagebrush Montessori pumpkin patch at Country Mercantile in Pasco, yesterday.
Second one: Bill's Berry Farm in Grandview, Washington this morning. Ev and Didi are in town and we've got a packed schedule today including the Patch, a lobster BBQ (yummy) and dinner and sleepover with Kelly.
We made apple cider at the Farm today and it was a lot of fun. The boys really enjoyed participating in the process: 1) Weighing and selecting 40 pounds total of 3 types of apples 2) Washing the apples 3) Running the apples through the grinder to get apple 'mulch' 4) Straining the apple mulch into little bags 5) pressing down on all the bags to grind out the apple cider.
Very proud of our 3 1/2 gallons of finished product. |
