Poo Poo

Olin likes to point to his bum and say Poo Poo. Sometimes he seems to know when it's coming, but other times it's random. Dae tried to sit him on the potty a couple days ago and said Olin appeared happy to be sitting there, but it was an unproductive attempt.

We visited Kerrie and kids in Walla Walla last Friday (which is becoming an annual thing and I am very happy about it!) and had a blast. We got sushi, chatted, and swam in their backyard. Too bad she's on the other side of the country for most of the year but it's so nice to catch up when we can.

Henry and Leelee

Olin loves this book "If you give a pig a pancake" and whenever a certain page comes up with the pig lifting its leg, Olin will very deliberately turn over so he's on his stomach, lift his leg backward and say "Ah!"

We've got so much new construction around here it's always a welcome diversion for the kids while we're on a jog. Last week we stopped and watched this house get built for a good 30 minutes. They were placing those triangle roof frames on the top of the house and it was actually pretty cool.

Free entertainment!

Finally, we're onto a new sleep schedule. We place the kids in their room around 7:30 or 8:00, together on their individual twin beds, and tell Leelee that if he's able to keep himself and Olin in their bedroom the whole night he will get something the next day (a present from the coin toy machine at Granny's, a show first thing in the morning) and we just completed Night #2. It hasn't been seamless...Olin still runs out of the room 5-10 times, pre-sleep, with a huge smile on his face before he finally retreats back to the room for good, and usually Leelee wakes up 1-2 times in the middle of the night crying for whatever reason. BUT, at least neither of us have to lay in there with the kids for more than an hour every night. That was getting old really fast.  Instead, we are now able to sit on the couch and have adult conversations, watch HGTV and eat various snacks and junk. haha. Speaking of, Leelee is totally on to us, and if he comes out of the room during the evenings the first thing he asks, before he even turns the corner and spots us, is "What are you eating?" because he knows it's something delicious. Nice example we're setting :)

Dae has been able to get off work a little earlier each day and we've all been able to spend a lot of time together this past week or so. It has been so nice!
