Olin turned one month yesterday. It's hard to believe! I have to remind myself, through my sleep deprivation and haze, to really remember and treasure when he's so small, because this will be our last time.
Dae's mom arrived Saturday and she definitely subscribes to the principle of keeping a baby warm! Most hours of the day Olin is well wrapped in at least 2 layers of clothing and two blankets. Yesterday I discovered Little Green Riding Hood in our midst.
She also was under the impression babies were only supposed to be fed every 2 hours, so I think she might be a bit shocked at the feeding-on-demand approach I have taken.
In Christian news, he has had some major tantrums this past month. He was pretty 'lively' when we first brought Olin home, and I thought he had since calmed down. I was wrong. This morning he woke up at 5:00am and had a tantrum of huge proportions. Kicking on his door, wriggling about on the floor; overall a fun time had by everyone. I finally convinced him to come into our bed where he promptly passed out until 8:30am (unheard of). I was so happy to get some sleep. So it was me and the boys in our bed, snoozing away, while Dae was working an all-nighter at the hospital after being called in at 8:30pm last night. We spoke on the phone this morning and both came to the similar conclusion it was a good idea that he stay at the hospital to sleep (versus coming home, which definitely does not equal good sleep at this point in our lives)!
Just now I put Christian down for a nap and walked past the hall to find a couple of treats he had nicely nudged under the door for me. Nothing like dirty socks and a dryer sheet.
