My New White iPhone

Yesterday, Mother's Day, I woke up around 6:45am to the smell of breakfast cooking. This was a first in my memory, which is long and quite accurate! Dae had cooked up some berry pancakes, egg (whites, my fave) and turkey bacon. I later told him that I had started to think he was hopeless in the kitchen and house in general and he said he feigns hopeless well. I said yes, very well. Ha!

Anyway, so Leelee ran into the room where I was in bed and the first thing he said was, in English, "are you ok?". I totally started laughing. He has never asked me that before. Then he said in Chinese "almost time to eat!". I laugh out loud all the time at the things he is saying.

So in very exciting news, I got a new white iPhone. It required a big-time operation to get my hands on this little gem! The quest started innocently enough when I went online to see (just to see) how much a white iPhone would cost. Well, of course I can't rely 100% on an online quote so naturally I had to call AT&T to confirm. The salesperson was really friendly and quoted me a really reasonable price for some reason, even though I wasn't due for an upgrade. So I put my hand over the phone and asked Dae "Should I order it? Am I crazy?" and I hear the salesperson laughing. Meanwhile, Dae didn't even blink an eye and said "order it, or else you're going to talk about it and drive me crazy until you do". So of course I ordered it, waited impatiently for it to arrive while checking the USPS online tracking about 15 times per day, and felt like it was Christmas all over again when my little package arrived on Saturday. Yahoo! Then began my clean-up efforts for my 'old' iPhone 4 to post it on Craigslist. Little did I know those things go like hotcakes, so within an hour of posting I had 10 offers that Dae and I waded through. We picked out a seemingly trustworthy fellow and Dae met with him at Barnes and Noble in Lloyd Center while Leelee and I played at the first level kids' play area. It all went off without a hitch, but Dae said since he took all the risk he rightfully deserved a service charge. Ha!

Anyway, I love my new white iPhone. I guess I'm a sucker for white Apple items...
