Olin last night: “when I grow up…I’m afraid I’m going to forget to shower” (I thought he was going to say what he wanted to be or something!)
Christian: Is driving genetic? Am I going to pass people on the bridge like Babz does? Because I don’t like that.
Olin: Mom we learned about the guy that started Nordstrom Rack! (Doesn’t realize there is a Nordstrom store since I only mention and frequent the Rack)

I worked a few later evenings and told the kids they could make pasta if they wanted so not only did they make pasta they made handmade pasta with the Kitchenaid and it was ready when I got home from work! With meat sauce and Rao’s. Delicious!!
I was going to write White Pass with Cousins but this year it was one cousin, Didi, while Mal stayed at school. We still had a grand time at a considerably upgraded unit from last year until midday of our first ski day when Ev fell while skiing on a black diamond (Mach V) and twisted or sprained her right knee. She couldn’t place any weight on it so she got tobogganed down the mountain and then they left shortly thereafter to get back to Portland, possibly get her knee checked out, and get to sleep in her own bed.
