Big White

We spent the long weekend (4 nights!) in Big White, Canada. It’s definitely one of my new favorite places to ski! Big mountain with long runs, beautiful small/cozy village, lots of nice blue runs, everyone is really nice, everything is inexpensive especially with the .70/1.00 current exchange rate. The drive was a little under 7 hours.

We played a lot of two new games: Saboteur and Codenames, and taught the Hoins family how to play Vietnamese poker.

Dry Falls about 2 hours north of tri cities in the Sun Lakes/Coulee area. So pretty! This is where Christian had his 6th grade trip.

We did a talent show. Touching nose with tongue.

Kids took tons of very very close photos of each other and us

Tubing hill!

They actually let us connect as many people as we wanted so that was fun

Tired. Haha. They took two lessons over this trip and said they were very helpful.

Slinky. The weather was soooo sunny the entire weekend.

Seattle in January

We haven’t been to the condo in about a month between the holidays and Hawaii. It was so nice to be back!

Tulalip outlets - fun for everyone since the family loves to window browse even if we don’t buy. Joy without the Y was funny

Door Dash, which was such a treat since we for some reason never do Door Dash. This was Italian food from Via Tribunali (delicious) delivered right to our condo door! Woohoo!

Christian drove the entire way home in the Toyota so that was really fun. The sun peeked out starting at the Pass and never let up, it was very pretty.

In more “trying new things” we finally got in the line at Ludi’s Filipino breakfast restaurant and it was very good. Ube pancakes shown here, Loco Moco (Dae), a fried rice dish with sausage (Christian) and French toast (Olin). The restaurant staff was so casual and nice.

White Pass Ski day

It was the prettiest ski day we’ve had in recent memory. So sunny, no wind, great snow, cold, but quite tolerably cold. Nothing some cup o noodles and tots couldn’t warm up! The kids and I decided (or more like I alone made the decision) to try all sorts of new runs and loved it. We normally do the same things and barely know where we are because I don’t remember the map and don’t carry one with me, or we just follow the Hoins and don’t pay attention. So this was much needed! We ended on a black and a double black but the double black didn’t seem any harder than the black.

Christian’s usual tomfoolery of shots taken of Olin
