Badger with Boy

Olin and I climbed Badger on his day off school on Friday. We hustled a little bit and timed ourselves at 23 minutes up, and 18 minutes down. We were surprised at how close the two times were. We thought we'd come down a lot faster.

School still sends daily photo updates day-in-the-life style and I really enjoy seeing them do "mundane" things.

2nd official Cross Country Meet

We made the day trip to Wenatchee, Alaina and I, and it was fun to root on the boys and see them both get about 20 seconds faster than their previous week. Progress! Both seemed happy with their results, and both were really happy to get to go to Safeway with the team bus stop and get 'whatever they wanted' for dinner, which consisted of a couple shared sushi containers, Gatorade, Reece's peanut butter cup and Trolli sour worms. Christian finished at 21:51!

Good turnout - maybe 30 out of 50 came

5K in Hermiston. He said it was a pretty flat course and was easier than the 2 miler they had done at Leslie Groves because that one they went too fast

Olin's 12th Bday!

A (belated) post for Olin's 12th birthday yesterday!!! We started with his last tournament game yesterday where he played his heart out and they rallied even though they were short 2 players and played 9 vs. 11. They lost but played the best they had played all weekend. We then relaxed, ate Are dinner, played Monomopy and had cake. We love you Olin!!!

He guarded the biggest guy we've seen so far in opponents. He did well.

First XC meet

Christian's first cross country meet was conveniently at Leslie Groves and was a 2 mile Jamboree. A perfect start! He said he ran faster than he thought he would and was exhausted. He finished at 13:19, so around a 6:40 mile. We were proud!
