February Happenings
Lowell's for breakfast after a long Presidents' Day weekend in Seattle |
I tried Barry's Boot Camp in Seattle this morning - didn't know there was one there - and it was fun! I thought this sign was so cute. |
Taylor Shellfish Oysters. They were very game and each of them tried 2 and didn't gag! |
The views change every few minutes and I really enjoy how interesting it is |

Mission Ridge after decades
Dae was on call so I finally drove the kids to Wenatchee for an overnighter at the Comfort Suites (awesome experience! haha they had complimentary eats from 4-8pm in the lobby, with chili, juice, cookies, and chips and salsa and then free breakfast in the morning and a pool and hot tub although we didn't use it, plus the room was nice) and a day of skiing at Mission Ridge.
There has been no snow for weeks, so the skiing conditions were definitely bad - icy, hard, and totally barren in spots! But we managed to eke out a great day of skiing basically two runs that were ski-able. And the sun was out and it was warm all day long. We made it home in time to catch most of Super Bowl and eat some take out pizza with babz...
Seriously loved the Comfort Suites. We picked up dinner at EZ's Drive through after seeing a long line of cars there on our way in. It was yummy. |
Olin's superbowl masterpiece. Bengals vs. LA |
Consistency is Key
Dae actually got me the EXACT same card two years in a row for our anniversary, unknowingly. That's got to be some kind of guinness book of world record or something, for world's worst memory! Either that or he's got a secret stash of these cards he got in bulk!
I seriously opened it up and was thinking wait, am I going crazy...this card seems so familiar! hahaha

Seattle after Absence, Jiu Jitsu
The kids started Jiu Jitsu at a place in Uptown close by and so far they really like it. They learn a move or two and then grapple/spar with assigned partners.
Din Tai Fung after another long absence (5 weeks!) from Seattle |
Olin has mentioned a couple times he wants to try basketball....we'll have to see if we can make that happen anytime in the near future |
