Wenatchee, Penalty Kick, Grumpy Hedgehog, Cooking Class

I volunteered to help with school photos and for fun we got a photo with our kids and then they printed out an "ID card"

Family night at Aki Sushi and Barnes & Noble

Olin and I spent the day in Wenatchee for a soccer double header. We had lunch at their public market, called Pybus Market, which was fun

Relaxing in between games in the 3rd row

Julia Turshen's chicken cooking class with Ev

I was terrible at taking apart a chicken. I got held up while trying to remove the backbone and then I was just trying to play catch-up after that, since it was all live.

Olin got put in as striker, got fouled, got a penalty kick and scored a goal!!! He was absolutely beyond thrilled.

Grumpy hedgehog

Taking a walk during Olin's evening soccer practice on a night with a really nice sunset and rainbow! The lighting was superb so I took a selfie. haha.

A Language Arts work called a "One Pager" that Christian worked hard on. It's a book report. As usual he appreciates fine quality work and drawings.

Funny and nice. Not sure if haraboji or halmoni wrote this...

I got to thinking Christian has been doing lessons for 6 years now. It has flown by! We love Onnie.

Autumn Antics

Christian called me and Olin over to look at the sunrise this morning

Christian's CK soccer team. Their team was comprised of four 7th graders and the remainder were 8th graders. They had their last game Tuesday and it was such a fun season to watch.

He loves these soft "pouching PJ's"

Seattle

We hadn't been to Seattle in about 5 weeks which is a long time for us! We gobbled down DTF, Crumpets, Macrina Bakery, and I went on a 4 mile walk along the water which was great.

Found on the floor of Uwajimaya

Ursula met up with us at rock climbing and Bubble Tea (TP Tea in Chinatown - very good bubble tea but limited kids' non caffeinated options)

Spudnut breakfast on a no school Friday

 Husky colors in our food

Olin's team

Haven't pulled out these umbrellas in a while!

Cool sculpture along the water

Pretty, bright barge

Thought this picture was going to be cooler than it was - haha - Space Needle through Olympic Sculpture Park

Ellenos! Dae and Christian in particular love Ellenos. It's really good but I don't crave it. I noticed the employees pronounce it with emphasis on first syllable whereas most people I know emphasize the second syllable. I figure employees must be right.

Moonlight Sonata, Pride Wear, Kitty Cat

Not that you can make out any specific players, but Christian is the farthest left blue player.

This Orange, Almond, and Poppyseed cake was really pretty. I needed to cook it longer and add less sweetener next time.

Pride Wear finally arrived! They are only allowed to wear CK sweatshirts (pride wear) inside class, so he has been slightly cold in class but unable to wear any sweatshirt until now. haha.

I thought Olin looked like a little curled up cat

Onnie said Christian is the youngest player she has taught Moonlight Sonata to. :) He started a couple weeks ago. It's a familiar tune around these parts!

Cooking, Sleepovers

A big fort the kids spent the night in

We did the Jeopardy "Anytime" test. I don't expect to hear back from Jeopardy anytime soon...

Making more baked goods from the cookbook. I've got some good helpers!
