California Dreamin'

These photos seem to be out of order but we had a fantastic visit to SoCal to visit Dad and Joanne and spend time with cousins. We crammed in a large amount of activities and shuttled to and fro in our 15 seater rented Turo passenger van! It was awesome.

Shohei Ohtani of the LA Angels, #17, pitcher and Designated hitter phenom. He also managed to steal a base during this game.  I think he pitched for 7 innings and I can't remember a more enjoyable baseball game I have been to.

Bought binoculars for $19.99 at Harbor Freight Chino Hills for the occasion

Joshua tree - 1.5 hours away - was worth the drive. The rock formations were like sandstone and the cactus/Joshua Trees were really neat to see. The kids loved climbing over the boulders.

In 'n Out (x 2) this trip

Cabazon outlets had almost everything you could possibly imagine. Boys were somewhat bored but didn't complain at all and entertained themselves with the mosquito bite extractor.

Bargain of the decade in the form of a $1.11 raincoat from the North Face for Christian. A combination of a sale item, additional 60% off, and then using my $20 North Face XPLR credit. Even the cashier said he'd never seen something like this before. haha.

Patiently awaiting the shoppers

Picked up Bridget and Conrad for a visit to the Getty Villa (Malibu), Malibu beach, UCLA and dinner at UCLA.

Butter beers for the kids and Beers for Dae

Eating at Three Broomsticks in Harry Potter area at Universal

Another photo of our passenger van which was hilarious and great

Delicious start to our trip in Koreatown - a restaurant called Soowon Galbi

Shotgun

Christian can officially sit shotgun now so he took advantage for the trip to ortho on Wednesday.

New roof! Probably very non-noticeable to anyone but the homeowner but I really like it and thought they did a great job.

Christian meeting up with a couple of his new classmates he'll have next year at CK, Derrek and Mason.

Exciting Delivery

Our Nordic Track came yesterday, which has been the most exciting delivery we've gotten in recent memory! It was big and heavy....400+ pounds and I've already done 2 workouts on it and I think Olin has done 3. He can't get off that thing...he loves it!

This simple blueberry tart was delicious

First cruise ship we've seen since Covid out our Seattle window!!!

New roof started Monday. It was very, very laborious looking work for them to take off the old cedar shake. Plus it is 100 degrees outside!

Gives me a lot of happiness to let the sun dry our clothes. Except they end up very stiff. haha.

Seattle with Selynn and Minah

Met up for the night with old Portland friends Minah and Selynn and had a nice time at the condo! Olin’s fall soccer photo finally came in  ...
