Christian Vaccinated, Packing, Pelican Bay

Christian got covid tested today for his upcoming camping trip and walk-in vaccines were at the same site, so he had his first Pfizer vaccine today! It was pretty nice because he didn't even have time to become nervous, not that he normally gets all that nervous, but a little bit. + Pelican Bay opened for the first time in 2 years! Kids had a nice time. + Christian has been preparing and packing his stuff for 6th grade camping trip for at least a week. He is very organized. Note the headlamp, mirror (my make-up mirror) for doing his ortho flossing, Swiss army knife in small brown box, nicely folded clothes...

Tan Lines 2021

I realized I didn't post one pic of Puops during her weekend! + Olin's follow up ortho appointment. Check out the overbite! I'll probably wait to treat, as he doesn't *need* palatal expansion as much as Christian did + Mask tan lines. Also, sometimes Christian's face looks exactly like he did as a toddler to me. Puops + Boys

By all accounts everybody had an awesome time this weekend when Puops came to stay for a long weekend and Dae and I went to Seattle. Kids said it was totally awesome and by the homecooked meals and plenty of activities (Monopoly, scootering, DQ, walks after dinner, Costa Vida) we felt pretty darn lucky! Also, 1) Christian changed the fire alarm battery with little guidance 2) Olin had soccer tryouts (he made it!) 3) Christian's 6th grade class is putting together a bench to leave as a gift for the school. He is excited to burn/engrave each of their names on to it. 4) Puops wrote Tofu 102 instead of the restaurant's name of Tofu 101. haha.

Changing Names

Hilarious question that Olin asked. + Walking challenge over...I went out with a bang and walked 14 miles solo after work yesterday. Found a $20 on my walk! I got second place and averaged 21.9K steps per day over the last month. I am very happy to not be walking every waking moment for a little while.

Seattle & Mom's Bday!

Had a great time celebrating Puop's 73rd bday with some Chinese cake! We then went for a walk around her neighborhood before she dropped me off at Mercer Island, we walked more, and then I crossed I-90 on the walking path, which was fun and slightly terrifying. hahah.

A Very Merry Mother's Day

I was presented my gifts (sugar scrub from Olin! Vintner's Daughter oil!), got to go to Orange Theory Fitness for a workout, had Lulu brunch, took a 2 hour nap, played tennis with the family at HHS and then went on a long walk before getting MOD pizza and Panda for dinner. A wonderful day! Yesterday, 5th and 6th graders worked at teacher Terri's plant sale to raise more money for their 6th grade campout in June. I got some nice plants: tomato, cherry tomato, jalapeno, Anaheim peppers, and a couple others.

They got their golf in (7 holes) I got my steps in (2 miles or so)! A win-win.
