New Year's Eve 2019

We spent a great after-Christmas week at Whistler with Amy, Erik and Ursula. Their skiing was definitely a little better than ours which was great as the kids really worked hard to keep up.

We are looking forward to 2020!!!

Waiting for a table at a tasty Indian restaurant in the Delta area of Vancouver BC called "Tasty Indian Bistro".

This is our lodging at Whistler - Deer Lodge. It was right in Whistler Village which was great. It was about a 10 minute walk to the lifts.

I double checked the sizes on Olin's thermals and they are 3T :(

Amy, Erik and us at Sachi Sushi

Lodge life. Food was surprisingly good - rice bowls, curries, burgers, chili, falafel burgers....

AT LONG LAST! Six years later, #9 is finally here. We can tell it will be a large tooth.

Ohyama Ramen for the second time this trip

Right before Dae walked to HMart to pick us up some more dinner, this was their little New Year's Eve dinner date. What a way to ring in 2020!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

They woke up just shy of 6am but knew we wouldn't open presents until 6:30am. Christian got: Pandemic, a set of oddly-shaped Rubik's cubes, wooden mind puzzles. Olin got: a WWF "adopted" hedgehog, a day-by-day flip dog calendar, and the game You've Got Crabs. Dae got me Chrissy Teigen's cookbook and I got him aqua socks and "Into Thin Air". hehehe.

St. Lucia Buns for Christmas. Bread #40! Challenge complete!
Olin has been asking to play Risk for a long time so we acquiesced on Christmas Eve.
Forts & flashlights Advent day. I took this advent away the last couple of years because I didn't think they cared about it that much, but they asked for it again and love it. They were almost more excited about this than any other advent.
Coeur d'Alene overnighter "Boat to Santa" on Sunday night with Heather and her daughter AJ.

Each kid got a $4 budget for candy

Huskies won Las Vegas bowl vs. Boise State!
Christmas Piano Recital

Christian played the group hymn "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" for us this year and we all sang to it. It was nice.
Christmas Program held at Marcus Whitman elementary this year. Was very cute.

Chaperoning a walk to Fred Meyer in the cold, cold rain. We had one umbrella that we shared.

Love our new Ring doorbell. My present to Dae but really present to myself. haha.

Seattle continued...

Enchant at T-Mobile (formerly Safeco) field on Sunday night. There were lots of lights and a scavenger hunt and a small ice skating rink. It was fairly decent.

Working together to make one of his Christmas presents. A small safe.

Ramen with Didi before they head home

More Enchant

His other present was a ukulele that he made!

Back in Richland, light show at John Dam plaza with hot chocolate

He said this safe was the hardest thing he's ever made. He absolutely loves it. It has a small area on the top that you spin to open, and then the bottom opens with two keys inserted at the same time.

Loaf #39 vegan banana bread. Not too tasty and very flat.

Advent Glo-Stick Bath

License, Cousin, Mime!

Christian passed his driver’s test! Didi and Ev visited for 3 nights and happened to be here while Christian took his test, which was super ...
