Caught!

Dae walked into the boys' dark bedroom last night and caught Olin red-handed (footed!). Toes in mouth, nibblin' on those nails.

Additional Photos From Underwater Camera, Oahu 2015

Both of the kids loved the pitch-black slide. (I hated it! I got some sort of vertigo or motion disorientation.)

Kids really liked boogy-boarding in the very small surf outside our hotel

Can you see Olin?

Oahu, February 2015

We returned from a full week in Oahu. It was very nice! We stayed at the Disney Aulani resort on the SW part of the island. Dae attended a few partial days of conference and we got to hang out as a family for the rest of the vacation. That was really nice!

Here are a big block of photos in no order whatsoever...

Outside Budnamujip korean restaurant in Honolulu with Dae's parents

Tonight, at bed, Leelee was taking 'food orders'. I asked him what each of these were, and he said Warrior Bowl (we had these acai warrior bowls for breakfast in Hawaii that were SO good. leelee said they were 'the best bowl of food he's ever had in his life'), Chicken Fries, Chicken, and Juice.

Accumulating pool bracelets.

Olin's bracelets were almost up to his elbow

Leelee and cousin Caleb, who is one year older. Their faces look very similar to me. This is a little rocky area near their house. The view from their home is absolutely gorgeous.

Dae, older brother Sung, Olin, and Halmoni at the ocean overlook by their house

Christian drew this. Look at Olin's hair depiction. Very accurate.
Scavenger hunt at the hotel. These were cool - we were able to make the rocks moved and make sounds and stuff.

Lots of sand this trip. Feet washing was essential.

Hawaiian essentials!

Near the ocean floor on the submarine tour. This tour was great!!!

Marukame Udon in Honolulu. We actually came here in 2012 as well. It's good!

Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor veteran survivor! He is 98 years old. There were two Pearl Harbor vets there that day.

North shore - near Haleiwa. This fisherman was catching quite a few fish. Waves were big here - lots of surfers.

View from my run. My runs were sad this trip, and eating was abundant. Bad combo!

Spear throwing at the luau

Dae and his co-workers Anne and Christina at the luau

A Washington mountain - not sure which one! It was a beautiful view from our airplane

On every flight, Leelee immediately pulled the emergency card out of the seatback pocket and very seriously studied the photos. Dae and I were laughing each time.

Baby, meanwhile, ate his favorite cashews

Baby's skunk spot. I put a smudge of very white sunblock in his hair whorl area to prevent burning.

When Olin tantrums (frequently) we call him the wild animal. We kept joking that wild animals (Olin) were not allowed in many of the Hawaiian establishments.

Friday Night

It's a Friday night - we just got back from a (delicious) Mandarin House dinner and Dae is reading to the kids. I thought I'd post a few funny things from this past week. We leave for Hawaii on Sunday and as Kelly says: "Do you realize how many trips you go on?". Honestly, I didn't really think about it until I scrolled back on all my posts and realized how many of them are trips. Even small trips, like Seattle, which I feel like don't really 'count', but they do. Yes, I keep reminding myself how incredibly fortunate we are indeed!!!

Olin and Dae were watching some reruns of American Ninja Warrior last week and we got the idea to set up an obstacle course for Olin. He loved it and he kept doing it even when we weren't videotaping him.

Olin has been:

1) peeing his pants regularly. Both at school and at home. He'll say he has to go pee and we'll tell him to hurry over to the bathroom. He'll take his sweet time and then stand there and say he is peeing, on the floor. It is so frustrating! We keep thinking he's going to get kicked out of pre-school...

2) a yogi

3) sitting in the laundry basket while I pile clean laundry on top of him. He kept saying "it's so cozy in here!"

The following bouquet of tulips has fascinated me. When I first put them in a vase, they were all leaning to one side. They perked up immediately when I added water. Now, they are all over the place, defying gravity. I love the dark purple color. I absolutely love fresh flowers in our house.
