Lil' Kickers
Leelee had his first Lil' Kickers indoor soccer class with his friends Zoey and Quinn. It took him a full 10 minutes of non-participation to warm up to the idea of class, but then he went full bore and thoroughly enjoyed himself for the remaining 40 minutes. He was running around like crazy with a huge smile on his face. He's in the back in both these videos, wearing his Portland Timbers jersey :) His friend Zoey is the other girl wearing the Portland Timbers jersey.

2 Moms, YouTube, and the Walgreen's Parking lot
Ev got me going on this YouTuber who posts Make-up how-to's. She's Asian and she does really pretty make-up. We are pretty hooked. So much so that we left the kids with the husbands this afternoon, allotted a generous portion of time in the afternoon, and sped over to Walgreen's with a long list in hand of drugstore make-up to purchase. We left without doing too much damage (only $35 each! I consider that cheap) and settled into Ev's minivan, opening up our loot and positioning Ev's iPhone in the console between the two of us so we could follow the YouTube tutorial, step by step! We were laughing so hard at the absolute ridiculousness of the situation we were pretty much crying, smearing all our carefully applied make-up.
In case you're curious, I purchased Maybelline mascara and eyeshadow, two Maybelline concealers, a white Rimmel eyeliner and an EOS lipbalm. Ev purchased 2 hair dyes, an EOS lip balm, Maybelline eyshadow and mascara, a white Wet N Wild eyeliner (a dud), and I think that's it.
Oh, and yes I did have coupons of course!!

Leelee in Ruffled Leggings
I came home to this little sight, which made me laugh the second I saw him:

I mean, those pants! Kindercare is putting Leelee down for naps without his diaper on, so he pretty much has an accident during naptime every day. On the days where I have not brought enough extra clothes, they put him in whatever pants they can find. They are usually girls' leggings, and always skin tight. I find it so absolutely hilarious!!! Especially since nanny picks him up by bus and takes him home on the bus, wearing these girls' leggings all the way home from downtown.

Prom Queen
Dae and I and my cold made it to Prom. My head was fuzzy all night, and after my 1 1/2 martinis it was even fuzzier. For Prom this year, the Prom committee decided to spice it up and had us all elect "Most Likely's" before Prom via e-mail. Most likely to win the Nobel Prize, Most Artistic, Most Likely to be in a Rock Band, etc. Anyway, they also had us elect a Prom Court (Princess and Prince of each age group). I had told Dae on the ride over that I thought the Most Likely's were really fun because we could think of personalities that fit each category, but that I didn't particularly like Prom Royalty because it ended up being maybe just a popularity contest (or whoever got 1 or 2 votes wins). Well wouldn't you know I ended up Prom Queen, which proves it was not a popularity contest! haha! We had a good laugh about that all weekend. (Minah leaned over at our table and asked "Is this blog worthy?" - so Minah this post is for you!) Anyway, they really went all out with the roses and sash and tiara, which I am thinking will all go either straight to Mallory, or Leelee.
So it was majorly embarrassing, but I have to admit it was kind of fun. hehe. It's kind of like high school, except 16 years later, a group of aging dentists, and nobody really cares or will remember!!!

Brothers
You can barely make out their little faces in there. Big thanks to Amie Robertson for that rain cover. A real must in the Northwest!
Tonight is my company's annual "Prom". I've been fighting this nasty cold for about 2 weeks and it just will not let up. I even got my hair cut today and gave myself a pedicure, but I'm still coughing up a lung, can't smell or taste and my nose is like a faucet. Oh well, first world problems :) In fact, today I was moaning that I may not give myself a pedicure since I was too lazy and Dae says "first world problem". He then complained that the barista at Peet's coffee made him go to the back of the line when he had forgotten his money and had to come back. I said (you guessed it) "first world problem"! haha. I have a feeling that statement is going to get a lot of play around here!

Doctor Jeep Monkey
This morning Leelee wrapped his play stethoscope around his waist and said "Look, mama, I'm a Doctor Jeep Monkey!"
(?)
Also, Olin is a good little napper. I put him down and he doesn't usually fuss too much. And then (this is the best part)...often times I will go check up on him when I think it's time for him to wake up and he will be awake, quiet, eyes open just staring around! I never thought it possible! I had heard these stories of babies lying awake quietly and really didn't think it was in the cards for my kids, but both times on Tuesday after his nap, I went in to go wake him up and he was already awake and just laying quietly. It's so heavenly!

House of Style
House of style we are not these days. Olin busted through the toe of his 0-3 month Gap sleeper that has been in his rotation since he was 1 month old (he's now 5+ months old). Leelee brought me a washable marker this morning and asked me to write his name on his PJ's "like Miss Sarah does at school". (??) I didn't ask any questions, just did as I was told.

Pies + Olin's first Solids
Olin has been smacking his little lips at every meal, so we decided to feed him some solids tonight. He had a few bites of rice cereal. Didn't seem too impressed, but I was feeling so bad at every meal that I thought it was time.
My old assistant, Mickey, came over today to each me and Ev how to make pies from scratch. Specifically, Lemon Meringue and Apple. It was very informative and very fun!

Fun Times at 1620 Broadway
A little snapshot of tonight: Leelee's got a temperature and is delirious in bed, calling out to me every 10 minutes or so saying "I don't want to close my eyes!". Olin is crying in our big bed..I went in to change his diaper and he peed all over himself as well as our bedding (too tired to change it right now). Dae called about an hour ago and said he would probably be operating into the night and would likely stay at the hospital. And I've got my regular 5:30am wake up call to look forward to tomorrow and another day of dentistry.
So it's major fun times over here. Miraculously, I know that I've still got it pretty good! (just not at this particular moment in time...)
p.s. It has been over a week since the baby has had a bath. Beyond that, as far as days over one week, I have no clue. We are a mess!
UPDATE: 8:38pm Well both boys are currently asleep simultaneously. I am going to take this small window of opportunity to pass along a few hilarious things I found on this website, called First World Problems, that my patient told me about. I find this particularly fitting considering my complaints above. Anyway, below are some of their "First World Problems":
TV show is not in HD
Had to park far from the entrance
Tired of eating at all the same restaurants near work
Forgot to record this week's episode....now I have to wait for it to be on YouTube
Subway is out of hearty Italian bread. Had to settle for just plain Italian.
The gas station pump doesn't have the little notch on the handle that holds it in place.
Staying with relatives and they don't know their WiFi password.
Want to change the channel but the remote control is on the other couch.
(Hahaha!)

Plaque
This morning Leelee told me his mouth was dirty and opened it for me to see. I asked "Why, what's in there?" and he said "Plaque".
This evening, I told him to read quietly for 15 minutes while I put the baby to bed and he obeyed. When I came back into his room I was wearing a tank top and he said "No, go put your clothes on!". I laughed, read a few books to him (he always requests five books these days) and left. From the next room I could hear him singing "Wheels on the Bus".
A good day :)
